Abstract

1,144,385. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. ELECTROLUBE Ltd. Dec.19, 1967 [Dec.19, 1966], No.56778/66. Heading F1R. An extension tube 16 of thermoplastic synthetic material is fitted to a pressurized aerosol dispensing container valve button 11, of softer material than tube 16, by heating the end of tube 16 to form a bead 21, and inserting the beaded end, when cold, into a recess in projection 15 of the button, so that the beading forms a corresponding annular groove in the wall of the recess. The tube 16 may be rotated after insertion to assist the formation of the annular groove. The free end of tube 16 also may be heated to produce a beading and to reduce its internal bore to a predetermined extent, to control the rate of flow through the tube. The extension tube may be replaced by short tubes of predetermined length to produce required spray patterns. The tube 16 may be bent to lie alongside the container, and may be rotated to direct the discharged spray. A slotted cap may be fitted on the container to cover the button, Fig.1 (not shown).
