Abstract

882,159. Spray-producers. SPRAYON PRODUCTS Inc. May 25, 1960 [May 29, 1959], No. 18416/60. Class 69 (3). A spray head 1, for use with a container 4 of liquid and a can 2 of liquefied gaseous propellent, comprises a body member 55 of synthetic plastic having a discharge conduit 29, in which a valve mechanism 28, Fig. 4 (not shown), is inserted in sealing engagement therewith and is operable by a push-rod 96 and a manually depressed flap 98, a bore 66 housing a cylindrical fitting 75 having a nozzle 73 in one end wall and a synthetic plastic insert 104 in the other end wall, provided with a metering orifice 103, and a fitting 70 which extends from the body member, has a discharge orifice for the container 4, and a shoulder on which the nozzle 75 is seated. The spray head is secured to the can 2 by inwardly-projecting distortable ribs 82 in a cylindrical wall 81, depending from the conical wall of a cavity 60 in the body member 55.
