1,144,059. Spray carburetters. R.A. CERRITELLI and A. C. HODGE. May 23, 1966, No.22990/66. Heading F1B. A spring-loaded ball-valve 106 in the fuel pipe 30 leading from a pump to the float-chamber of a carburetter closes when the float valve is closed, or nearly closed, and prevents the fuel delivery pressure forcing the float valve open e.g. during deceleration. Fig. 1 shows a cam-operated fuel pump 20 delivering through valve 106 in casing 92 to float chamber 38. The fuel metering valve 50 is connected to the throttle valve (66).
