Abstract

1,143,416. Container closures. Z. HOMMA. 23 May, 1966, No. 22776/66. Heading B8T. A container 1 has an external screw thread 3 for a stopper 5 and has one or more openings (e.g. 11) terminating on (a) sealing surface(s) 13 of shape such as to lie on the surface of a cone, and one or more ratchet teeth 4 co-acting with one or more like teeth 8 around an extension 7 secured to the stopper 5 by breakable coupling members 6. Thus unscrewing the stopper is is impossible without breaking these members 6. In one embodiment, Fig. 1 (not shown), the container mouth is frusto-conical, engaging a matching depending annulus of the cap crown; but as shown a container head 10 provided with side ducts 11 and a bead 14 engaging an internal circumferential groove 15 of the container mouth engages the sealing surfaces 13. The container mouth 2 may be a separate part attached to a sheet metal container. The cap 5 may have a left-hand screw.
