A screw cap A comprises an outer sleeve a<SP>5</SP> and an inner sleeve a<SP>4</SP>, the inner sleeve having a thin annular portion a<SP>2</SP> providing a seal with the bottle lip, a dome a closing the neck bore, and a depending skirt providing a second seal with the bottle neck. The cap may have longitudinal ribs on its outer surface.
