Abstract

1,142,312. Device for operating two doors simultaneously. NIPPON VICTOR K.K. 14 Feb., 1966 [25 Feb., 1965], No. 6426/66. Heading E2M. A cabinet or other body having a pair of sliding-swinging, side-by-side doors which retract into the cabinet when open, is illustrated with reference to Figs. 1 and 2 and is characterized in that the doors 11, 11' are operated by a mechanism comprising a pair of intermediate members 15, 15' each of which is pivotally secured between an edge 16 (16') of one of said doors and either a first point 18 or second point 18' respectively on the cabinet and by means of which members the doors are mounted, first lever 19 and second lever 20 each of which pivotally is connected between an inner edge 21 (22) of one of said doors and either a third point 26 or fourth point 27 respectively on the cabinet, and a drag link 23 pivotally secured at one end to a point 24 on the extended portion of the first lever beyond the third point from the inner edge 21 and at the other end thereof to a point 25 on the second lever between the fourth point and the inner edge 22, so that opening of one door effects opening of the other by the swinging motions of the first and second levers about points 26 and 27.
