Abstract
113,968. RiviÞre Ú Hijos, F., [Firm of]. March 3, 1917, [Convention date]. Addition to 101,093, [Class 83 (iv), Metals. Working]. Wire netting in which the connected portions are twisted in opposite directions, the two twists being separated by an untwisted portion as described in the parent Specification, is reinforced by longitudinal wires 27, Fig. 1, intertwisted with the mesh wires 24, 25. In manufacture, the reinforcing wires pass between the parent slides 1, 2 of the machine described in the Specification, so as not to partake of any of the movements necessary in the formation of the hexagonal meshes. One of the two guides 1, 2 may remain stationary, double the travel being imparted to the other guide, and the pinions described in the parent Specification may be replaced by divided pinions. To facilitate the withdrawal of the fabric the pins 38 on the roller 34 are bifurcated to embrace the wires 27 and bent as shown in Figs. 5 and 6.
