1,137,836. Granulating slags. INTERNATIONAL STEEL SLAG CORP. Jan.27, 1966 [Jan. 27, 1965], No.3806/66. Addition to 1,029,678. Heading C7X. The Specification describes an apparatus for granulating slags by injecting a stream of coolant into the molten slag as disclosed in Specifications 1, 029, 677 and 1, 029, 678. Specific jet velocities and volumes of coolant for granulating particular quantities of slag are described, and chains may be suspended in high velocity jets to reduce spray.
