1415227 Granulating metals HOECHST A G 5 Dec 1973 [13 Dec 1972] 56424/73 Heading C7X Molten metal e.g. iron is granulated by allowing it to fall from a funnel 5 on to a stream of water supplied through a nozzle 7, the angle between the metal and the water being 60 to 80 degrees. The nozzle is adjusted by a member 9 to vary this angle.
