Abstract

1,137,240. Oil-break switches. TAKAHASI DENKI SEISAKUSHO K. K. 30 Nov., 1967, No. 54561/67. Heading H1N. The stationary contact members 9 of a heavy current switch are each bent inwardly at the same angle as that provided by surfaces 8a, 8b, of legs 8 depending from the underside of a lid 2 hermetically sealing the oil tank 1 in which a movable bridging conductor 21 engages with or disengages from fixed contacts 49 on the ends of the stationary contact members 9, and the top and bottom portions 9a, 9b, of members 9 are each secured to the legs 8 by bolts 13, 17, respectively, arranged so that their axes intersect. The contact members 9 are the terminal conductors, as shown, or are provided by the ends of bus-bars directly introduced and fixed in the switch, Fig. 5 (not shown). Conductor 21 is directed into several parts, each resiliently mounted on two adjusting studs 23, 24, mounted on a support 22 having spindles 28, 29, guided in tubes 35, 36, of lid 2 and having ventilation grooves 39. An operating lever 48 moves conductor 21 via a link 42 attached to a rod 40 connecting spindles 28, 29. Auxiliary contacts 51, 52, engage before and disengage after the main contacts 49, 50. The levers 48 of several switches are connected to a common operated rod 69, Fig. 6 (not shown), such that all the switches can be opened or closed simultaneously by an operating handle 73, or electromagnetically, or by a cylinder operated arrangement using oil or air pressure.
