Abstract

1,137,100. Cleaning endless conveyers. C. W. WARD. 7 Dec., 1967 [12 Dec., 1966], No. 55515/66. Heading B8A. Apparatus for cleaning an endless conveyer belt comprises a scraper blade 10 mounted transverse of the conveyer with opposite ends attached to the free ends of cantilever leaf springs 12. The leaf springs of the respective ends are mounted to a quadrant plate 20 having a series of holes 22, each to receive a bolt (not shown) when in alignment with a hole on the conveyer chassis whereby to adjust the spring tension of one set of leaf springs independent of the other. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), the blade (110) is adjusted relative to the leaf springs (12) by a quadrant plate (112).
