Abstract
1,135,469. Door tracks. BECKETT, LAYCOCK & WATKINSON Ltd. 20 Oct., 1967 [3 Nov., 1966], No. 49298/66. Heading B7L. [Also in Division E1] A slidable closure guide, e.g. a door guide track and particularly a glass run comprises a channel section 13 of rigid plastics material, e.g. P.V.C. united to an intermediate layer 16 of flexible or compressible P.V.C., which is in turn united to an inner layer 18 of rigid P.V.C., the inner layers 18 of the two arms of the channel defining the guide groove. The channels are fixed into the window etc. frame by, e.g. screws 21, at the top and bottom for horizontally sliding windows &c. or at the sides for vertically sliding windows &c. The intermediate layer 16 may comprise, as shown, two separate longitudinal webs 17 inclined at an angle to the outer and inner layers 15, 18. The three layers are extruded as an integral whole with suitably constituted P.V.C. for the respective layers.
