Abstract

1,133,932. Furniture frames. H. TEISSEIRE. 7 April, 1966 [7 April, 1965], No. 15785/66. Heading A4B. A rectangular frame for supporting panels (5, 11) comprises two horizontal members 1, 2 of I section, a rear upright 3 also of I section and a front upright 4 of T section. Two or more frames are arranged vertically in parallel manner. The edges of pairs of panels are received in each of the I section members 1, 2, 3 and apertures (7) are provided in the webs (6) of the horizontal members 1, 2 for bars (8) connecting pairs of horizontal panels (5). The flange of the horizontal members 1 or 2 are cut away to permit rear panels (11) to be slid into the channels of the rear upright 3. The front upright 4 comprises fixed portions (16) of hinges (14, 15) for a door (13) and a base (17) for the fixing of a latch. A series of holes 18 are provided on the web (12) of the front upright 4 and on an internal prolongation (9) of the web of the rear upright 3 for bolts securing the ends of Z sectioned battens (19) for supporting shelves (24). Panels may be secured to the end frames by means of the bars (8).
