Abstract

Connecting - rods. - A number of rods are connected to a crank by providing on the outer surface of a suitable sleeve a<2> connected to the primary rod and embracing the crank-pin a number of seatings c to receive cylindrical portions d<2> on the ends of the secondary rods. The sleeve a<2> is provided with a separate piece a<3> to enable bearing blocks e, e<2>, e<3> to be placed in position. When the whole are assembled, they are held in position by clips f which embrace the portions d<2> for a length equal to the length of the crank-pin. In a modification, two secondary rods are provided. The secondary rod d and portion d<2> may be separated and connected together by a screwed plug y.
