Abstract

1,129,384. Refractory linings for kilns. VEITSCHER MAGNESITWERKE A.G. 20 Sept., 1966 [24 Sept., 1965], No. 41864/66. Heading F4B. A brick lining for rotary kilns comprises wedge shaped bricks 1 having cylindrical grooves 1b in the faces that are adjacent in the kiln, a sheet metal member 2 with embossments 2a being provided between each pair of bricks to hold the brick together. The embossments are pressed alternately along both sides of the sheet and have hemispherical ends to avoid sharp edges from damaging the bricks.
