Abstract

1,128,209. Terminal boards. AUTOMATIC TELEPHONE & ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 7 Feb., 1966 [31 Dec., 1964], No. 52936/64. Heading H2E. A rectangular tag board is mounted in an aperture in a panel by means of flanges 12, 13, 14 and 15 and a sliding locking member 24. Flange 15 is continuous with one face of the board and the other flanges are continuous with the other face. The transverse distance between the inner surface of flange 15 and the inner surfaces of adjacent flanges 12 and 14 is substantially equal to the thickness of the panel, and similarly the distance between the inner face of the locking member 24 and the inner face of flange 13 is equal to the panel thickness. As the board is inserted into the panel aperture the locking member is placed completely in the recess 23, but when the board is fully inserted a screw 25, which can move in a groove in the face of the board not seen in the figure, is moved to the right bringing the member 24 with it, and then screwed up to clamp the edge of the panel between the locking member and flange 13. A fanning strip 21 is secured by right-angle brackets 19 and 20 to the tag board. This strip receives the cables which have their ends bared and wrapped around terminals 11.
