Abstract
1,045,330. Terminal clamp. G. GL€SEL. May 5, 1964 [Nov. 18, 1963], No. 18556/64. Heading H2E. An electrical terminal clamp which is bent from a strip of sheet material 2 (Fig. 3) into generally rectangular tubular form (Fig. 2) is provided with overlapping edges through which a screw 3 passes to clamp together conductors 1 and 4. The inner of the overlapping edges is formed with at least one projection 6 which engages in a slot 7 in the side wall 8 of the clamp and since the clamp is constructed to be of substantially the same width as the screw, holes or recesses 9 and 10 are provided so that the screw 3 cannot bear against the walls of the clamp. Such terminal clamps which may be formed with stiffening punchings 12 (Fig. 4, not shown) and with downwardly protruding stiffening flanges 13 and 14 on the inner of the overlapping edges may be mounted in insulating bodies to form rail mounted terminal blocks.
