Abstract

1,048,062. Edge connectors for printed circuit boards. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd., and AUTOMATIC TELEPHONE & ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. April 30, 1965, No. 18249/65. Heading H2E. One or more printedcircuit-board edge connector units 2 each carrying a plurality of electrical contacts are mounted between two plates 5 and 6 by tongues 4 engaging slots in the plates, and by spring clips 7 and 8 engaging over the ends of the plates and the connectors. The back of the connector units 2 may be provided with electrical tag ends, or with plugtype contacts so that the connector unit acts as an adaptor between a printed circuit board inserted in the front of the connector and a socket on an equipment rack. Keys 9 may be provided to correctly locate the printed circuit board in the connector.
