Abstract

1,109,701. Mounting electrical equipment. McMURDO INSTRUMENT CO. Ltd. 16 Dec., 1966 [11 Jan., 1966], No. 1356/66. Heading H1R. In an arrangement for supporting printed and other circuit boards of the kind comprising pairs of opposed support members having mutually facing grooves into which the boards slide, each support member 10, Fig. 4, has two integral webs 14 which protrude laterally into the groove 11 in the member 10, so as to resiliently secure a circuit board 15 in the groove. Member 10 is preferably made of moulded plastics material, e.g. polyvinyl acetate or a polycarbonate, and comprises apertured lugs 13 for mounting. Groove 11 has its ends 16, 17 flared to facilitate insertion of board 15, the leading edge of which may comprise contacts for insertion into a socket connector (not shown). Webs 14 are formed by slots 18 which communicate with larger recesses (not shown) below the depth of groove 11.
