Abstract

1,247,146. Mounting for printed circuit boards. ING. C. OLIVETTI & C. S.p.A. 3 June, 1970 [21 June, 1969], No. 26872/70. Heading H1R. A mounting structure for printed circuit boards includes a pair of grooved guides 1 of synthetic compressible plastics material which are disposed parallel and with the grooved sides facing each other so that a printed circuit board may be inserted. Each of the guides is provided with a seat 10 adapted to receive and lock in position one end 15 of an electrical edge connector 14, this seat 10 being formed in a projection 9 of the guide, adapted to be bent elastically with respect to the guide 1 so as to permit the introduction and withdrawal of the connector 14. The projection 9 may be bent by pressing the lug 13 which forms part of the extension 9. A plurality of pairs of guides can be assembled by mounting them on a pair of cylindrical bars which may pass through the holes 7 and 8 in each pair of guides. As the guides are made of a compressible material, the guides may be compressed together by any suitable clamping mechanism until prescribed nominal positions of the guides are obtained.
