Abstract

1,089,888. Mounting electrical equipment. ALFRED IMHOF Ltd. May 18, 1966 [May 19, 1965], No. 21192/65. Heading H1R. In a structure for supporting printed and other circuit boards of the kind comprising a pair of spaced parallel plates 10 and pairs of grooved guide members 12 of resilient material mounted opposite one another on plates 10, each guide member is provided with two integral pegs 14 of frusto-conical form which engage in selected holes 11, which are provided in coordinate array in each plate 10, to secure it thereto. A connector retaining block 18 is also secured by an integral peg 20 to a plate 10 adjacent one end of each guide member, the blocks being formed with recesses to receive edge connectors or, as shown, metal connector holders 28. A plurality of guide members 12 may be placed in line, abutting or spaced apart, to receive a long circuit board. Each guide member 12 is formed at one end with a semicircular projection, and at the other end with a complementary recess; the retaining blocks 18 comprise similar projections. Guide members 12 and retaining blocks 18 have recesses in their surfaces which abut plates 10 to facilitate their removal.
