Abstract

1,127,567. Valves. G. SCHWARTZMAN. 31 May, 1967, No. 24980/67. Heading F2V. [Also in Division A4] In an applicator head, a supply opening is alternately closed from opposite sides, by different members 34 and (48). As shown, the opening 30 is closed by brush member (48), as cap (68) is screwed down, to bring shoulder 70 into contact with ridge 56. In use, spring 38 urges valve member 34 into sealing engagement with conical seating 32 and shoulder 50 against flange 26. Supply through ducts 60 occurs only while the member (48) is retracted from lange 26, by light contact of bristles 62 with he receiving surface. The head may be made if nylon, rubber or polythene and the brush nember (48) may be made of one of these naterials or of polyvinyl chloride.
