Abstract

1,125,073. Lined garments. ALGEMENE KUNSTZIJDE UNIE N.V. 17 March, 1967 [18 March, 1966], No. 12533/67. Heading A3V. Lined garments e.g. coats, jackets, skirts, dresses and trousers, include an outer fabric made of threads or fibres based on synthetic polymers, and a lining consisting of a warp of filament yarns of synthetic linear polycondensation products and a weft made of regenerated cellulose, the warp and weft having a shrinkage of less than 2%. Preferably the outer fabric is a blend of wool, cotton or rayon with a high percentage of threads of fibres of polyethylene terephthalate or acrylic polymer compounds. The warp yarns of the lining are preferably filaments of polyamides or polyesters. An example describes a jacket having an outer fabric of 45% wool and 55% polyethylene terephthalate, an interlining of a non shrinking gauze fabric of polyamide monofilaments to both sides of which is bonded a fibre sheet of polyethylene terephthalate, and a lining having polyamide warp yarns and regenerated cellulose weft yarns.
