Abstract

1,122,367. Sparking plug connectors. WIPAC DEVELOPMENT Ltd. 14 July, 1967 [15 July, 1966], No. 31960/66. Heading H2E. [Also in Division H1] A sparking plug cover incorporating an ignition coil has a cup-shaped part 10 of moulded insulating material accommodating in an annular recess in its cylindrical wall an iron core 11, secondary winding 12 and primary winding 13, and a connector cap 14 which engages the terminal pin of the sparking plug is fixed to the base of cup 14 by rivet 15 in electrical connection with the secondary winding via lead 16, the primary winding being connected to the low tension supply circuit via lead 20 and contact plate 18, and the two windings having a common earth contact plate 22. Contact plates 18, 22 are riveted to moulded plate shaped part 17 which covers the open end of the annular recess, a hood 21 integral with part 17 shrouding contact plate 18.
