Abstract
945,650. Binding-posts. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. March 6, 1962 [March 23, 1961], No. 8506/62. Heading H2E. [Also in Division H1] Lead through terminals for the induction coil of an internal combustion engine are hermetically sealed by means of a setting resin into holes in the insulating moulding which forms the cover of the coil. Each terminal comprises thin copper tube 13 which is both soldered to flat connector 14 and also held by two flaps formed in the latter and the hole in which the terminal fits is shaped to receive the offset part 14 thus securing the terminal against torsion. To prevent resin from running out during casting, hole 15 is initially blind but access for end 18 of the primary winding to the tube 13 is made by drilling after the resin has set, lead 18 then being soldered into tube 13.
