Abstract
958,060. Transformers. S. SMITH & SONS (ENGLAND) Ltd. Oct. 12, 1962 [Oct. 17, 1961], No. 37275/61. Heading H1T. [Also in Division H3] A transformer for use in a tachometer for vehicle engines with electric ignition systems (see Division H3), comprises a magnetic core formed by a U-shaped part 21 secured within the tachometer housing 22 and a second U- shaped detachable part 23 held in position outside the housing by threaded member 26, a secondary winding 27 wound on part 21 and a primary winding formed of a single turn of ignition lead held within part 23 by an insulated member 29.
