Abstract
952,275. Induction coils. ZAVOD AVTOTRAKTORNOI ELEKTROAPPARATURY ATE-2. Oct. 19, 1962, No. 39719/62. Heading H1T. A potted ignition coil has its synthetic resin pot 1 provided with integral attachment means for mounting the coil. The core 2 and winding 3 are placed in a mould with an insulating piece 4 and the resin, e.g. polyethylene, is injected. The leads 5 are moulded in the walls and soldered to the terminals. A spring (not shown) may be provided between one end of the coil and the adjacent inner face of the end of the pot to allow for the different thermal expansion of the core and pot in use.
