Abstract

954,772. Electric coils. METALLOXYD G.m.b.H. Feb. 12, 1963 [March 2, 1962], No. 5673/63. Heading H1P. A coil formed of a ribbon of anodised aluminium 12 is strengthened at its inner and/or outer ends by a strip of greater thickness, 11, 13, having upstanding terminals 16, 16a integral therewith. The end strips are secured to the main ribbon, e.g. by " cold pressure " welding. The inner strip is also secured by welding &c. to a core-ring 10 also of aluminium, while the outer strip is prevented from unwinding by means of a terminal tongue engaging a pair of slots 20 and interlocking indentations 23 on two juxtaposed areas of the strip.
