Abstract

1,122,123. Firearms. ARMALITE Inc. 28 Sept., 1966 [30 Sept., 1965], No. 43307/66. Heading F3C. A device for recoil compensation and flash hiding for a firearm comprises a portion 4 integral with or attached to the barrel 1 of the firearm. The portion 4 is provided at its muzzle with a pair of slots 7, (8, Fig. 3, not shown) extending laterally and symmetrically of the portion 4. The portion is further provided at its muzzle with a vertical, upwardly extending slot (Fig. 1, not shown). The pair of slots 7, (8) may lie in a horizontal plane through the axis of the portion 4 or in symmetrical radial planes. The barrel 1 carries a foresight 3.
