Abstract

1314566 Firearms G A BRONSON 1 June 1970 26231/70 Heading F3C A firearm has a barrel 1, a trigger mechanism including a trigger 3 having a touch point 15 and a forestock 2, the forestock having a rectilinear underside parallel or substantially parallel to the barrel and in alignment with the touch point 15 of the trigger 3. The lower portion 13 of the forestock is rectangular and preferably square in cross-section and grooves 11, (12, Fig. 3, not shown) are provided at the uppermost portion thereof. A handguard 25 mounted over the barrel 1 is connected to the lower portion by cementing or bolting. The lower portion 13 is not less than 1“ inches in width, preferably 1¢ inches. In the latter case the depth of the lower portion is 1¢ inches.
