Abstract

1,120,563. Multiple flame gas burner. A. POLIDORO. 29 June, 1966 [8 July, 1965; 4 June, 1966], No. 29098/66. Heading F4T. A multiple flame gas burner comprises an elongated tube formed along its semi-cylindrical upper surface with transverse rows of gas outlet apertures 3 arranged in groups and at its lower surface with a primary air inlet 12 which opens into a mixing chamber 13 fed also through a nozzle mounted in end aperture 15 with fuel gas, the fuel gas/air mixture then passing through an induction tube 14 into a distributing chamber where it contacts a deflector 17 welded to the tube 14 and which is provided with guides 16 stamped from it. The inlet end of tube 14 may be inclined to the vertical. The end apertures (6), Fig. 4 (not shown), of each row and the end rows 7 form pilot burners and are fed with a fuel gas/air mixture of low pressure from conduits 8 and 9 which communicate with the interior of the burner tube through apertures 10 and 11 of small crosssection. Primary air inlet 12 may be covered by a filtering grid 12 as well as side air inlets 5. A weight (20), Fig. 7 (not shown), mounted on a spring-loaded spindle 19 may be used to vibrate grid 12 to loosen dirt which may block it. The fuel gas inlet nozzle (24), Fig. 8 (not shown), is mounted in a carrier (25) and may be removed by engaging its end (26) with a screwdriver after the removal of plug (27).
