Abstract

1477172 Burners VITS-MASCHINENBAU GmbH 14 June 1974 [1 Sept 1973] 26436/74 Heading F4T The discharge from a row of fuel gas nozzles 1 intersects the discharge from rows of air nozzles 3, 4, 5, 6 arranged so that the number of nozzles in each row decreases while the crosssection of each nozzle increases with the distance of the row from the fuel gas nozzles. An impingement plate (11, Fig. 4) is arranged over each of the rows of full gas nozzles which are connected to distribution pipes 7, 8 while the air nozzles are supplied from a chamber 9 with air which may contain incomplete products of combustion. Ignition burners 12 are arranged at the intersections of the rows of fuel nozzles.
