Abstract

1435440 Making fuel spray nozzles EXCELL-O CORP 17 May 1974 [23 May 1973] 21969/74 Heading B3A [Also in Divisions F4 and F1] A manifold 11 for pressurized fuel comprises an elongated elliptical chamber with a plurality of orifices 15 along one wall, and a plurality of screw-threaded orifices 23 aligned therewith, and fuel spray nozzle pintles 18 screwed into the manifold and having closing portions 17. Pintle 18 is fabricated from a material (nickelbase precipitation hardening alloy containing elements of titanium and aluminium) similar to that of the manifold. The pintles are screwed into apertures 23 and a braze ring 26 placed on each one. The manifold is then placed in a furnace so that a brazed connection (27), Fig. 4 (not shown), is provided.
