Abstract

1,117,605. Inflatable dinghies. WALTER KIDDE CO. Ltd., and R. F. D. CO. Ltd. 4 Jan., 1966 [11 Jan., 1965], No. 1243/65. Heading B7A. In an inflatable dinghy 10 having a peripheral buoyancy tube 11 and secured thereto an additional tube 14 of relatively small diameter and capable of withstanding high gas pressure so as to straighten out and unfold the dinghy when a high gas pressure is built up therein, the additional tube is provided with two or more orifices 18, 19 of substantially equal size located in the same transverse plane on opposite sides of the dinghy for permitting gas to pass into and to inflate simultaneously both sides of the buoyancy tube after pressure has built up in the additional tube. Baffles 21 are provided in the buoyancy tube to control gas flow therein.
