In an inflatable dinghy having a peripheral buoyancy tube and secured thereto an additional tube of relatively small diameter and capable of withstanding a sufficiently high gas pressure to straighten out and unfold the dinghy when gas pressure is built up therein, the additional tube is arranged inside the buoyancy tube and is arranged to burst when its internal pressure exceeds a predetermined value to ensure rapid inflation of the buoyancy tube after deployment by the additional tube.
