1,122,826. Inflatable rafts. NORDISK GUMMIBADSFABRIK A.S. 2 June, 1966 [12 July, 1965], No. 29531/65. Heading B7S. A protective bag 1 for an inflatable lifesaving apparatus including a gas container 8 to which is attached one end of a release cord 10 the other end of which is connected to a main cord 11 preferably fastened to the inflatable apparatus (raft 19), the bag being provided with a closing strip 5 intended to be broken when the apparatus is going to be used, has an opening cord 14 so connected to the closing strip along at least a substantial part of the length thereof that pulling the opening cord will cause the strip to break, the opening cord being connected to the main cord at such a point 17 along the length thereof that pulling the main cord will cause breaking of the closing strip before the release cord of the gas container is activated.
