Abstract

983,046. Inflatable dinghies. WALTER KIDDE CO. Ltd. May 24, 1963 [June 1, 1962], No. 21292/62. Heading B7A. An inflatable dinghy has a high pressure tube 3 secured to the peripheral buoyancy tube 1, to unfold the dinghy, and a gas storage container 4 and admission point 5 at a position proximate to one end of the dinghy for inflating the tube 1. Restricting means 6, e.g. a truncated cone of flexible material secured to the inside of the tube 1 having an aperture at the apex away from the admission point 5, is positioned at corresponding positions at each side of the dinghy to ensure complete inflation of the buoyancy tube between the point 5 and the means 6 before substantial inflation of the buoyancy tube beyond the means 6 takes place. Restrictors may be used at a number of spaced positions along each side of the buoyancy tube. Specification 903,476 is referred to.
