Abstract

933,759. Life jackets. H. E. STEINKE. April 11, 1962 [April 26, 1961], No. 14032/62. Class 141. [Also in Group XXI] A device for use in escaping from a submerged submarine comprises an inflatable life jacket 1 secured to a hood 8 surrounding the head of a wearer (by a zip fastener 22) and having a passage from the interior of the jacket into the hood for the flow of air under the control of a low pressure relief valve 12. The life jacket is provided with a harness 4. An inflating tube 13 and a snorkel tube 15 are provided (see Group XXI).
