Abstract
111,634. Josephson, H. May 18, 1917. Controlling-apparatus, arrangements of hand, foot, and transmission gear in conjunction with.- Two sets of brakes are provided and can be simultaneously applied by depressing a pedal; one of the sets can be independently applied by a handlever. One set is mounted on a shaft B having arms b connected by an equalizing-member D which is operated by a pedal G. The other set is mounted on a shaft H with arms h which are connected by an equalizing-bar 1 and operated from a hand-lever L through a pin and slot connexion 18, 19. The operating-rod E of the first set is extended and carries an adjustable bracket 26 which abuts against the equalizing-bar I of the second set.
