Controlling-apparatus, arrangements of foot and transmission gear in conjunction with; flexible transmitters.- The brakes on the rear wheels are applied by rods or cables acting only in tension, the usual torsion shaft extending transversely of the vehicle being dispensed with. The pedal 1 carries an equalizing- arm 2, one end of which is directlv connected by a rod 3 to one brake. The other end of the arm is connected to the remaining brake by cranks 7, 8, a rod or cable 14, cranks 12, 13, and a rod 15. Instead of the cranks 7, 8, 12, 13, pulleys rotating on vertical axes may be employed.
