Fluid-pressure.-In a brake operated bv the suction of the engine and such as is described in the parent Specification the piston 5 and the rod 18 of the central valve 17 are connected bv links 30, 34 to a lever 32 pivoted at. 33 to an arm 31 which is apparently a member of the transmitting mechanism of the brake or the piston and valve, rod are connected by a cable passing over pulleys mounted on the arm 31. The purpose of these connections is apparently to cause the braking pressure exerted by the piston to react upon thepedal or other operating member which is connected to the valve rod 18.
