Abstract
526,737. Brakes. GALLUSSER, H. March 27, 1939, No. 9485. [Class 103(i)] A vehicle brake comprises a pair of spring- retracted pivoted shoes which are actuated by two levers connected by a link the other end of one of the levers being pivoted to a fixed point while the other is connected to the operating mechanism through a wear compensator, the levers, link and compensator being all located within the shoes. The shoes 1, 2, pivoted at 3, are operated by the levers 5, 6 which are connected by the link 7, one of them is pivoted at 9 while the other is connected through the compensator 12 to a lever 10 operated, in the form shown, from the hydraulic piston 11. The compensator is of the kind described in Specifications 382,125, 418,492 and 465,843.
