Hand or foot actuation force-transmitting mechanism.-The pull-rod J of vehicle or other brake mechanism is connected to a block K arranged to slide in a slot in the peda or hand-lever B. The block is kept at the upper end of the slot by a spring S while the slack is being taken up in the mechanism, so that the travel of the lever B is short; but the block travels down the slot and increases the leverage, as the pressure is applied.
