Abstract

1,115,837. Hydraulic loading platform lift. DIESEL EQUIPMENT Ltd. 1 July, 1966. No. 29720/66. Heading B8E. A loading platform 14 for attachment to a vehicle or other raised platform 11 is pivoted to the lower ends of slides 18, 20 running in posts 12 and is operated by an hydraulic ram 40 connected to the slides by chains 50, 52. The platform 14 is urged from the horizontal position by torsion bars 22 and may be held vertical for movement in that position by a latch 32. The ram is held in its fully extended position with the platform 14 fully raised by a latch 62 and in this position the latch 32 is held fully engaged by wedges 36. The ram may be unlatched and the control valve operated to start platform operation by a hand lever 74.
