Abstract

1,114,830. Vehicle wheels. RUBERY, OWEN & CO. Ltd. 30 Nov., 1966 [15 Dec., 1965], No.53324/65. Heading B7C. A detachable vehicle wheel assembly comprises a wheel having a rim 10 welded to a flange 11 on a pressing 12 forming the nave of the wheel which is detachably secured to an adaptor by a single central nut 26 screwed on to an externally-threaded sleeve 19 of the adaptor. The adaptor is secured to the hub by angularly spaced studs 16 on the hub projecting through apertures in a radial flange 15 of the adaptor and secured by nuts 22, the outer portions 23 of which are received in channel-sectioned ribs 13 of the wheel pressing.
