Abstract

1438814 Vehicle wheels RICHARD GRANT MOTOR ACCESSORIES Ltd 26 June 1973 30289/73 Heading B7C A motor vehicle wheel comprises a body 10 and a pair of annular rim portions 11, 12 having respective substantially cylindrical parts 11a, 12a of different axial length which each terminate at one end in a radially outwardly directed flange and at the other end in a radially inwardly directed flange detachably mounted to the body 10, the external diameter of the body 10 being less than the internal diameter of the parts 11a, 12a whereby the rim portions and body can be secured together in different relative positions to one another (Figs. 2-5, not shown) such that the position of the midcircumferential plane of the rim relative to the body may be varied. The body 10 may, as shown, comprise a disc 13 terminating at its periphery in a flange 14 whose mid-circumferential plane is offset to that of the disc and which has a rim portion centering step 19. The rim portions 11, 12 may be attached to the flange 14 by bolts 17 and nuts 18, and spacers and/or sealing rings may be interposed between abutting surfaces at the junction of the rim portions and body.
