Abstract

111,402. Spiers, W. Feb. 28, 1917. Circular machines. - Relates to machines with curved inside sinkers or web-holders 3 which move in correspondingly shaped tricks, e.g. of the type described in Specification 23560/95, and consists in the provision of a slot, gap, or opening 6 in the sinker cam-ring 4 or similar part whereby 'a sinker may be withdrawn or replaced without disturbing the machine parts. The slot 6 may be disposed parallel to the sinkers or angularly, and may be of a sufficient width to permit of the passage of one or more sinkers. The invention is particularly applicable to machines of the superposed cylinder type.
