Abstract

111,331. Gray, J., White, H. R., and Hewer, F. Nov. 22, 1916. Piling.-In light slabs for piling &c., reinforced with steel, the reinforcements comprise longitudinal members A, Fig. 1, in different planes, bonded together by triangulated lateral members B, the cement or pitch concrete, gypsum, or glass conforming to the planes of the lateral reinforcements. The sides and ends may be suitably shaped for jointing. Jointing faces of the slabs may be grooved to receive an asbestos cord, and the joint may be provided with a capping. Flanges may be provided, held together and to an angleiron stringer by bolts E, Fig. 6, cast in bosses.
