Abstract
1,112,900. Fuel injection pumps. VYZKUMNY USTAV PRISLUSENSTVI MOTOROVYCH VOZIDEL. July 2, 1965 [July 10, 1964], No.28079/65. Heading F1A The pistons 3 of a distributer type injection pump are actuated by members 5 having rollers 6 engaging a cam track 8, and draw through a valve 10 in the distributer from a passage 9 controlled by a two position valve 45 which in one position (the starting) throttles the flow to prevent excess flow and speed when the engine starts hence the device cannot be used to obtain excess fuel during normal running of the engine. A variable portion of the pump delivery is absorbed by a spring- loaded piston 14 having an extension carrying a stop 18 limiting the gap S, the maximum gap being preset by means of shims 22. The stop 18 engages a member 17 the axial position of which is controlled by a speed governor loaded by springs 28, 29 prestressed by a lever 30. For starting purposes a lever 44 is provided to move the valve 45 to throttling position and the whole of the governor assembly to the right to close the gap S.
