Abstract
1,111,947. Bending; twisting. R. OBERREICH. 8 July, 1965 [16 July, 1964], No. 28927/65. Heading B3E. A tool for bending flat bars comprises an arm with a recess or pair of jaws at one end to accommodate the bar to be bent. A flat bar 1 is accommodated in recesses in the head parts 3 of a pair of diverging arms 2 and is bent by relative movement of the arms. The recesses may be of stepped form to accommodate bars of different widths. A hook 5 is formed at the other end of each arm for use in twisting the bar. Alternatively the hook 5 may be formed on the back of the head 3. Recesses may be provided on both faces of the head 3. The head 3 may be provided, in place of the recess, with an adjustable jaw co-operating with a fixed jaw. The adjustable jaw may be held in position by pin or screw means or by wedge means.
